Are gratuities included in the drinks package cost?
Yes. All MSC Cruises' pre-paid and onboard beverage packages include gratuities.
Can drinks packages be used on MSC private islands?
Yes, the Premium Extra Package can be consumed on the Ocean Cay island and on Sir Bani Yas in Emirates. The island’s beverage offering may not include the full onboard beverage selection. The Easy Package and Non-Alcoholic Package are not accepted on private islands. Minors Packages exclusions are connected to the adult's package.
Will alcohol be served on cruises calling on Saudi Arabian ports?
In compliance with Saudi Arabian law, alcohol will not be served while the ship is docked at Saudi Arabian ports. Alcohol will be available when the ship is in international waters.
Which packages can be used in Specialty Restaurants?
- Premium Extra Package
- Minors Package (if the family/group has purchased Premium Extra Package).
If an adult purchases a beverage package, are underage guests required to purchase one as well?
Yes, underage guests are required to purchase the Minors Package in conjunction with an adult beverage package.
If guests wish to dine together at the same table, whether travelling in separates cabins as individuals or as part of a group, is it necessary for them to reserve the same drinks package?
Yes, in order for all guests to dine together at the restaurant, they must all subscribe to the same drinks package.
This means that if one guest chooses a certain drinks package, all other guests who wish to dine together with them must book the same type of drinks package (Easy, Premium, ...).
This ensures a consistent dining experience for all members of the group. This includes minors, for whom the Minors Package must be booked.
Can I upgrade my beverage package?
Guests will be able to upgrade their beverage packages to Easy and Premium Extra Package prior to embarkation, and also directly onboard.
I booked a Grand Voyages cruise or an MSC World Cruise. Is there any drinks package included?
- MSC Grand Voyages
On Grand Voyages cruises the packages are not included per default but may vary according to your travel agency offer/promotion.
- MSC World Cruise
The Dine & Drinks Package is included. This package covers house wines, draught beer, soft drinks, and still and sparkling water, available during lunch and dinner in the main restaurants and buffet. The Easy Package, Premium Extra Package, Non-Alcoholic Package and Minors drink packages can be purchased separately.
What drink package is included in the MSC Yacht Club Experience?
The Premium Extra Package is included with the MSC Yacht Club experience on all cruises.
Please note: In line with our responsible drinking policies, a daily limit of 15 alcoholic beverages per guest applies both within and outside the exclusive MSC Yacht Club area.
Can I purchase a drink package before my cruise?
Yes, all drink packages can be purchased before your cruise. Discounts may vary based on seasonal offers or special promotions. Please note that for cruises to the Caribbean, North America, and Alaska, the Easy package is only available for pre-cruise purchase and cannot be bought onboard.
What happens if I want to enjoy a drink not included in my package?
Yes, upgrading option is available on board to all Guests who purchase alcoholic all-inclusive beverage packages Easy and Premium Extra and who want to enjoy cocktails, spirits and/or wines by the glass that are not included in their package. Guests will pay only the price difference between the package allowance and the à la carte price of ordered drinks. Beverage gratuities will be applied to the price difference for above drinks not included in the package
I purchased my beverage package before October 1st, 2025. What happens now?
New beverage packages will be introduced in summer 2026. Guests who purchased a beverage package before October 1st, 2025, for cruises sailing on summer 2026 onwards, will continue to receive the service associated with their original package. Starting October 1st, 2025, only the new beverage packages will be available for purchase for cruises sailing on summer 2026 onwards.
What happens if I have already purchased an all-inclusive beverage package and I request a date change to a cruise date after the beginning of summer 2026 season?
New all-inclusive packages will be available at the new pricing and conditions.
What happens when I reach my 15 alcoholic drink per day maximum?
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests, we have updated our Beverage Package to include a maximum of 15 alcoholic drinks per day, per guest. This change is designed to promote responsible enjoyment and to enhance the quality of service. Once a guest has consumed 15 drinks within a 24hrs period, measured from 06:00-06:00, they will be able to purchase drinks at the full menu price.
