New Year's cruises

There’s something special about welcoming a New Year while at sea. From dedicated entertainment and festive events to the excitement of the countdown itself, a New Year cruise combines time spent with friends, visits to remarkable destinations and the comfort of life on board, creating a distinctive way to celebrate the occasion.

The destination itself can shape the way you begin the year. Discover the winter atmosphere of Northern Europe, where Christmas markets often continue into the New Year period and cities such as Hamburg, Amsterdam, Bruges and Paris feel particularly special at this time of year. Those looking for a warmer start to January may be drawn to the Caribbean, where sunshine and a slower pace encourage you to unwind, whilst the Canary Islands combine mild temperatures with dramatic volcanic scenery. Selected New Year cruises also set sail from Istanbul.

In the Mediterranean, the start of the year is an opportunity to visit celebrated cities such as Rome, Barcelona, Valencia, Venice and Marseille at a particularly special time, when festive lights, seasonal events and when festive lights and seasonal events bring a distinctive character to each destination. Selected South America cruises depart from Rio de Janeiro, allowing guests to experience the city's world-famous New Year's celebrations, including the remarkable atmosphere along Copacabana Beach.

On board MSC Cruises’ ships, the celebrations continue throughout your holiday. Special events and entertainment are designed for couples, groups of friends and families alike, culminating in a New Year’s Eve Party featuring themed decorations, live entertainment and the traditional countdown to midnight.

MSC Cruises also offers a selection of New Year cruise deals, providing opportunities to enjoy exceptional itineraries while benefiting from attractive savings on selected departures.
